Meet Chevy

Chevy

Don’t let her shyness fool you! Judy is the most cuddly and sweet girl. She’s the perfect size and enjoys car rides and snoozes in the backseat with her seatbelt like a pro. She’s silly, curious, active and gets along with her foster sibling Steve and has had positive interactions with dogs on walks (just ignores them but no barking or lunging or is shy and we change direction). She’s missing three of her front top incisors which make her even more adorable with her tongue sticking out slightly when she sleeps. She LOVES toys and balls and loves snoozing just as much. She’s super smart and toy motivated so I’ve been training her to sit, lay down, paw, and wait with toys and sometimes food (kibble doesn’t work but high value treats seem to do the trick — no pun intended). She’s still learning the neighborhood and very alert of her surroundings and her ears perk up when she sees squirrels or other dogs and humans. She’s a bit nervous around men — she’s met my dad and he’s been slow and gentle with her and making progress - no nipping just shy. Judy is house-trained (not one indoor accident since in foster). She’s such a sweet, gentle soul who takes treats gently and loves belly stritches and any pets. She goes in her crate all by herself and doesn’t mind the crate or being alone. I’ve only heard her bark once and it was as when my dad was entering my parent’s house unannounced! She was very aware of a dog on the TV when I was watching a movie and it was adorable. I think she’d do great with kids with slow introductions and I don’t think would mind a cat. Her foster brother is a 17 lb Chihuahua mix and they snooze together and she’s played with him a few times but mainly likes her toys thrown. She would love someone who’d take her on adventures. She’s the sweetest and gives me hugs and kisses every time I come home from work. I know she’ll do great with any family.
