Meet Glenn

Glenn

Glenn Nicknames:

Glennieeee

Goodboiiii Glenn

Boopie bc his big nose is so boppable

 Temperament:

Glenn is a very intelligent, stoic, and alert big guy. He’s very in tune with all that is going on around him but in the most-calm way. He’s a watcher. He’s quiet. This handsome boy rarely barks! He’s a mature guy with a puppy spirit…meaning he still doesn’t realize how big his paws are and falls over them sometimes LOL. He LOVES EVERY human (babies, kids, adults) and dogs he meets. And I mean everyone! He’s never been around a cat, but he has no pray drive when he see’s a squirrel so I think he would be totally fine. He understands boundaries with dogs. If a dog has a vibe he’s not into he’ll just walk away unbothered. He is always unbothered LOL .

Glenn is very food motivated. He definitely knows about human food from his days before joining my home. He wants to be in the kitchen smelling all the good smells, but we have worked on having him lay in his bed and stay while cooking. He is will follow this command. He will push boundaries and try to sneak back in the kitchen but a gentle reinforcement back to his bed and he’s fine. When it comes to feeding him, he’s a complete gentleman and even waits for you to give him a command to go ahead and eat once you put his bowl down – this guy is SMART SMART SMART!

Other commands Glenn knows, is sit, down, stay, take nice (for treats). We are working on heal on his walks. He’s a very excited walker so he can pull and is strong. Glenn does best right now walking with a gentle leader on and he’s a total dream to walk and can go miles. He’d be a great running partner too if that’s your thing…its not my thing so he does just fine with a good long walk on days I don’t send him to daycare, pending my schedule. He needs mental stimulation bc he’s so intelligent. But he will indulge in the lazy cold football Sunday too.

Glenn would do best with a yard, as he doesn’t go to the bathroom on walks. He could be trained out of that habit but as of now that’s his routine and how he was when he came to me. He’s up like clockwork at 7am ready to potty, eat and take on the day.

Glenn doesn’t get up on furniture as he has his own Costco dog couch that he loves and dog beds, which he is happy to lay in and sunbathe.

Quirks: He likes to stare…when Glenn is bored, hungry or has to go potty he will face you and stare. It’s actually quite comical. You’ll figure out which one he needs quickly, but nonetheless its a quirk of his we love.

He LOVES men! Even though I’m his primary caretaker, petter, feeder, sweet talker, to my disdain he loves my boyfriend more. Glenn would also love a kid buddy, someone to follow around and supervise there playing. He loves to engage respectfully.

He’s potty trained. We’ve had a few accidents in the beginning in the middle of the night but we’ve learned to take up his water at night and that nipped that in the bud very quickly.  He’s crate free. He will just chill while you’re gone. He’s not anxious when left alone.

He’s a gem for anyone looking for a good dog that will blend into any life/home situation.
