Mary Hannah, DVM | Veterinary Partner

I have been a veterinarian for over 20 years, and I have never known a rescue group to do more for the "underdogs" than MCP Rescue. The overlooked dogs, the not-great-cage-presence dogs, the difficult medical cases, the seniors, and others that might not be the first chosen for the dodgeball team are not only welcomed into MCP Rescue, they are truly seen. Through the love, the medical care, the support for foster families, and a lot of hard work, these dogs become wizards, luck dragons, queens of hip hop, and other magical creatures ready for their next chapter.

MCP Rescue also does an amazing job of matching the right dog to the right home with the right people. It is not an easy process, but MCP makes sure that each adoption is going to result in a dog living its best life. There have even been a number of times when I wasn't sure that a dog's medical needs would allow for a happy forever, or that it would be "worth it" for a rescue to make the investment in trying to make that happen, but Marta is so tuned in to these dogs that she is almost always right. I've learned that when she tells me a sick dog wants to live, I should listen. I'm simply in awe of MCP Rescue.
