Smokey

Smokey came to us after having been abandoned at an old tobacco factory in KY. He was so matted that he could hardly open his eyes!  The fur that was removed weighed 6 pounds!  It wasn’t long after that before Smokey was feeling like himself and happy.
Smokey landed an incredible foster. She soon realized that she also landed herself an amazing dog!  Smokey can be left out alone without causing any issues. He is a perfect gentleman in the house. He is calm, quiet (doesn’t even reactionary bark at things going on outside the window), and he doesn’t shed a bit. He’s happy to entertain himself when you’re busy, and he also loves to have a snuggle when you’re available. He is the absolute BEST hugger!  One cuddle with Smoke, and your bad day lifts away. 
Smokey can pull on the leash, but he’s gotten much better. He does do well with other dogs, but he can get excited to see them on walks. He goes to daycare once a week, and he has a blast!  He loves socializing and playing with different dogs. He would do fine as an only dog, or he could also live with other dogs. He’s pretty adaptable in many ways, and is always willing to do what works best for everyone else!
