Meet Zosia

Zosia

Zosia!  Her names means Wisdom. Zosia has plenty of wisdom, not only in her eyes but in her very essence.  She was found running in an alley, desperate for food. Had she not been found when she was, it’s not likely she would have made it through the coming Polar Vortex that was about to grip Chicago.  She was a walking skeleton that barely had anything left to her. Even though she was starved for food and basic care, her nub of a tail still wagged.  She was welcomed in to her foster home, where she put on weight and started gaining confidence that food wasn’t scarce anymore. She was learning that the basic necessities of life for a dog (food, water, cuddles and lots of walks) were in ample supply.  Her worried face relaxed, and she loved being part of the family.
Zosia is good with people, dogs and cats.  She goes right in her crate when told, and she knows other commands as well.  She is non-destructive in the home, and prefers looking out the window during the day watching the people and dogs go by, knowing that she is no longer alone in that world.  She will make sure to let you know what’s going on in the neighborhood!  Sirens going by? She will howl along with them and talk to you to let you know that they went by.  Gladys Kravitz has fierce competition!
Her favorite thing in the world is to go for walks – long walks!  She would be a great running companion.  She loves to snuggle, and would be happy to take up your entire bed just to be next to you when she is sleeping.  Despite being failed by humans, Zosia had the wisdom to know that not all humans are bad.  Her resilience is nothing short of amazing.  Adopt Zosia— a life long advocate of new beginnings.
