MCP Rescue is a Chicago based animal rescue that finds Forever Homes for the overlooked, abused, neglected, in need, at risk dogs (and cats). We believe every animal is an individual with their own idiosyncrasies, gifts, likes and dislikes, just like humans. MCP is the opposite of a revolving door type of Rescue model. We may not have the large numbers monthly but we have a return rate lower than 3% and we know where our dogs are and how they are. 85% of the dogs we bring into our Pack are considered true underdogs and harder to adopt, whether they be of Pitbull types dogs, XL breeds, bonded pairs, seniors, major medical, or hospice.

We look at this process as adopting new humans into our Pack vs adopting our dogs out. We are full disclosure. We know our dogs well. We stand behind our dogs 100%. We are selective on who we bring into our Pack. We are comfortable saying no at any time during the process. We look for organic connections and humans willing to put in the work it takes to create successful Forever relationships. We like to go slow to ensure proper communication so that everyone is on the same page and to secure a successful match. We are extremely hands on throughout from first meet and greet throughout decompression, onto Forever.

Out of state adoptions are rare but possible and depend of the strength of the application and match/needs of the dog/cat. Our process consists of at least three meet and greets, depending on the comfort levels of all involved and what is needed to ensure a successful transition for our animals.

We hold our animals and humans close. Hence, we are quality over quantity.
