Meet Hambone

Hambone
Age: 2 years old Sex: Male Breed: Pitbull Mix Weight: 48 pounds Good In Home With: Dogs, Kids
We decided to do Hambone’s birth chart to get to know him a little better. Since we don’t know his exact birthday (we weren’t there, and he was just a tiny baby—how could he possibly remember?), we went with the day he arrived at his foster mom’s house.
That makes him an Aries Sun, Capricorn Moon, and Leo Rising. Apparently that means he’s energetic, assertive, and adventurous—not to mention confident, charismatic, and expressive. And honestly? That’s him to a T.
He's long and lower, body like Arnold with a Denzel face type.
Our handsome little man came to us from a rescue in Quincy, IL, so he’s a country boy learning the ropes in the big city. He’s adjusted beautifully—trotting around the neighborhood like he owns the place, thoroughly investigating every sound, smell, and squirrel.
He gets along great with his two foster sisters (dogs). He’s besties with his foster mom and the tiny human who looks a lot like her.
Hamboni-Zamboni is everything you’d want in a dog and a life partner: utterly devoted, incredibly good-looking (he made us write that), whip-smart, and so so funny.
He’s still a young guy and learning how to be a housedog, but he’s catching on quickly. We’re working on basic commands and crate training, and he’s already showing us how eager he is to learn and connect. He absolutely loves adventures, is the most popular kid at daycare, and nails every photo opportunity allowed.
If you’re looking for a ride-or-die best friend with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Hambone just might be your guy!
