Meet Savannah

savannah

Savannah came to Chicago Care and Control suffering from Pyometra which is an infection of the uterus when a female dog isn't spayed. We fell in love immediately with her gentle and kind self. We rushed her to the vet for an emergency spay and Savannah chose to survive. The entire vet clinic couldn't believe how absolutely darling she was. They allowed her to roam free as they worked (and we searched for a foster) and she is/was simply wags and smiles all day long. She's now in foster care and doing so great. She absolutely loves to play with toys, lounge with the family and snuggle with the children. Savannah Poppins is her name and being part of a family is her game. We are grateful to know this being and to be able to call her part of our Pack. She's a survivor, healer and overall blessing of an addition to life.
